Dual use racing tool: 14mm Spark Plug Indexing / Cutting Fixture & Tool, Porcelain, Grey, Holds 8 Spark Plugs and fits securely in a vise. *Numbered 1-3-5-7 & 2-4-6-8 #1 Use: Index your spark plugs in your engine 1 time. Then remove each plug 1 at a time, screw it into the proper cylinder #, when it stops scribe a line where the ground strap is. From then on, you can screw a new spark plug into a hole until it aligns (just before so you can crush the washer), once it aligns with a previous scribe it is now good for that cylinder. Do this at your leisure to save time at the track. #2 Use: When you want to get an "accurate" plug reading, screw each plug into the proper marked cylinder hole in the FIG-SPR-14MM fixture, grab your drill motor with a 5/8" hole saw & cut the crimp of the spark plug at the base of the spark plug just under the "writing on the plug". Once you do that, it will release the entire porcelain and you can accurately read your spark plug burn & heat range. By far the most accurate way of getting the perfect read. |
